PROGRAMME AND TIMELINE OF THE PAIRING SCHEME

OF RUSE UNIVERSITY "A. KANCHEV" IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE ASSOCIATION OF DANUBE RIVER MUNICIPALITIES “DANUBE” FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF COMPETENCES OF POLITICIANS IN THE FIELD OF LOW-CARBON AND INTELLIGENT MOBILITY FOR THE DANUBE REGION

A) TARGET GROUPS

  1. Regional and local politicians, operating in the Danube region, representatives of NGOs and the media.
  2. Policy-makers from the central level of governance in Bulgaria.
  3. EU policy-makers and representatives of international organizations.

Total number: 25-30 participants from the target groups

B) PROGRAM

The program provides an opportunity for politicians to meet researchers from the University of Ruse and its partner universities and research centers from the country and abroad.

Designation of a scientific team for the program:

  • Scientific supervisor and scientific secretary.
  • Scientific Council of the program of 5 members (scientific supervisor, scientific secretary and 3 members)
The scientific supervisor, scientific secretary and scientific board participants have proven competences in the field of low-carbon and smart mobility, innovative governance and communications.

Development of a capacity-building program in the field of low-carbon smart mobility in the Danube region for politicians. Identification of a list of topics.

Dissemination: a closing conference and debates on key issues of low-carbon and smart mobility policies in the Danube region in Bulgaria. Presentation of good capacity building practices of prominent politicians in the field of low-carbon smart mobility.
